Full Frame Film Festival Presents Virtual Jazz Short "One Night in Kernersville" featuring Duke University Bassist Vice Provost John Brown, November 17, 2020 by Larry Reni Thomas (Published: October 31, 2020)
Full Frame Film Festival, a Durham, North Carolina-based documentary film festival, is scheduled to present, on November 17, 2020, from 2 pm to 3:30 pm, an encore virtual presentation of the 2011 Jury Award Winner for Best Short, "One Night in Kernersville," directed by Rodrigo Dorfman.
The film profiles and features Duke University's new Vice Provost for the Arts, bassist/educator John Brown, long-time director of the Duke University Jazz Studies Department. It follows him as he makes a big band recording in Kernersville, North Carolina. Immediately following the 20-minute screening, John Brown will join Full Frame director Deirdre Haj in a conversation.
